chamomile {tea bath}

It’s often hard at the end of the day to completely unwind from the stresses of our day. Personally, I love to relax with a nice cup of tea right before bed; I find it calming and soothing. But for those of you who need a little extra, I recommend taking a chamomile tea bath. You all know how much I love to drink tea, so I’m thrilled to let you know that using tea and essential oils in a bath has endless benefits as well, both cosmetically and spiritually.

Chamomile tea in particular can help fight insomnia and ease anxiety, so it’s the perfect addition to your bath before bedtime. It is also fabulous for your skin, soothing irritations and leaving your skin feeling silky smooth. A chamomile tea bath is fantastic for easing aches and pains, menstrual cramps, and sore muscles. It also has properties to help fight illness, so it’s the perfect cold remedy.

Bring about 4 cups of water to a boil and let cool as tea steeps better in water that isn’t quite boiling. Add 4-5 chamomile tea bags, let steep for 15 minutes, and add to your bath. Swirl the tea around to evenly blend throughout the bath. Enjoy the relaxing, spa like soak for 25 minutes.

    I try a lot of bath products but I love the idea of using something as simple as the tea I’ve got in my cupboard! Thanks for the tip!
